Wild Pulp celebrates Nature with unpolluted design. Inspired through natural rhythms and textures, mixed media processes and Naturalist John Muir's thought,
"When we tug at a single thing in nature, we find it attached to the rest of the world". Our work can be found on fine art note cards, prints and apparel.
Created by C. Owen Smith in Autumn 2009, Wild Pulp was officially launched in the Spring of 2010 at the National Stationery Show in NYC.
He studied at Columbus College of Art & Design and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia. Followed by travels to Egypt studying rural life in the
Nile valley. A year(+) later spent several months in Soto Zen monastic training in the Japan Alps and a sculptural/ceramic apprenticeship with Kakuho Saito on the
Japan Sea coast. After a couple U.S. road trips, he anchored in Northeast Ohio and continues to make/exhibit artwork.
